Senior Platform (Devops) Engineer at Bon Secours Health System in Remote
SUMMARY The Senior Platform Engineer will develop, implement and maintain end to end cloud service offerings, enabled by appropriate cloud orchestration, integration and automation solutions. The Senior Platform Engineer will also oversee security and compliance of the cloud system. Remote/work from home - eastern time zone hours ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Responsible for managing design & prototyping, feature deployment, usability testing, and documentation - in alignment with platform architect & service owners Develop, test, deploy and document automation workflows (e.g.event/incident management, provisioning and deployment self-service etc.) - based on user experience inputs from cloud service owners and analysts/admins Develop/customize, test, deploy and document orchestration solutions - based onplatformorchestration requirements identified with platform architects & engineers Provide L3 support to analysts in troubleshooting (A) cloud integration and configuration requests, and (B) in-house/3rd party tool related incidents/events Evangelize and educate users (e.g.incl. business app developers/architects) about cloud programming, configuration and integration solutions Coach and guide the team on estimation, story break down and backlog management for technical front-end related stories Identify opportunities to improve team velocity Guide engineering teams and makes informed security decisions on the design of infrastructure, systems and applications Work with other tech teams to ensure security is built into app development, network infrastructure and cloud systems Implement industry leading practices around cyber risks and Cloud security and perform security assessments of cloud platforms/environments using industry standard frameworks such as ISO, CSA-CSM and NIST
Qualifications Education:
Required- Bachelors Preferred- Masters / PhD in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering
Experience:
Required- 3 years of experience working in security, Azure cloud engineering, or Azure architecture role Preferred- 5
years of experience working in security, Azure cloud engineering, or Azure architecture role
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Systems Architecture & Engineering, DevOps & Site ReliabilityEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
