Role The Director, Global Event Marketing is responsible for a variety of global event programs that support Splunk's growth and business initiatives. Primary job focus areas will be 1) partnering with the Sr. Director, Global Event Marketing on strategic growth plan for the .conf program; 2) developing the strategy for and oversight of Splunk's strategic 3rd party events program delivering all marketing initiatives from planning through to measurement standards and reporting, 3) Development of Splunk's single day prospecting and Summit programs as well as 4) assisting in the development of net new programming for targeted audiences as well as brand activations. The successful candidate will work closely with the Sr. Director, Global Event Marketing and other marketing leadership, including product marketing, graphic and content teams, and other stakeholders/contributors. They will be responsible for strategically bringing excitement, innovation and excellence to our events to better amplify and support Splunk's brand and business growth. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker who understands the business and evolving priorities and how they apply to events in ways that deliver strong ROI and delight attendees. This is an opportunity to bring transformational leadership to our Activation team within the Global Event Marketing team. You will ultimately be responsible for Splunk's .conf, Summit and prospecting program, Splunk's 3rd party event programs as well as to be developed programming including global expansion of .conf and creation of a new developer program.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the development, design and execution of large-scale Splunk-owned events, brand and creative journey elements, and ensure all in line with objectives and overall event strategy. Ensure creative amplification across various digital platforms and cross channels Deep understand 3rd party program activation and how event marketing delivers on business objectives Ability to articulate key business value for all recommendations/decisions, develop appropriate KPIs and establish regular cadence of analysis and reporting for all areas of ownership. Accurately and effectively represent GEM and it's programs to Splunk Executive Leadership as needed, Manage suppliers and other contributors on assigned deliverables and programs - on schedule and within budget Creatively leverage various Splunk communities to amplify, curate content and advocates, and further event programs. Develop strong relationships with cross functional teams, including product experts, procurement, finance, marketing operations, technical services teams, and integrated marketing teams to ensure alignment and successful outcomes. Manage timely communications to internal customers, including executives, throughout all phases of the event programs. Manage budgets in collaboration with team area owners, finance and third-party vendors. Required Skills/
Experience:
Minimum of 15
years successful event management experience, preferably for a high-tech, fast-paced company. Must have experience with large scale programming with attendance of 10k+. International programming experience is a huge plus. Strongly creative with interest and ability to build out new programming Empathetic but detailed manager of large teams, manager of managers, who understands and prioritizes team members' growth and success Apply proven experience with revenue modeling and expense management. Ability to think strategically, and ensure event activities support business goals. Demonstrated success in managing and negotiating with third-party vendors. Ability to work on multiple projects at once, set priorities, work independently, problem solve, improvise, and function as part of a team that must perform under pressure. Show desire to continually improve processes and think creatively with creative approach to new projects. Foster collaboration and teamwork across cross-functional teams that are not under direct control. Demonstrate superior communications skills, both written and verbal. Minimum undergraduate degree required, or equivalent experience.
Salary Range:
$200K -- $250K
Minimum Qualification
Communications & PR, Brand Marketing & ManagementEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
