As a Senior/Principal Outbound Product Manager, you will partner with the Product and GTM teams to develop the go-to-market strategy and execution plans that drive business growth, product adoption, and customer success. You will work backwards from the customer to help them experience the value of Splunk and evangelize capabilities of the Platform. In this role, you will work on highly complex problems, gaining insight into the strategic and operational issues which are forefront in the minds of the Splunk leadership team. You will work with senior-level decision-makers across the company to deliver for our customers. You should have a strong product and market background and excel in all areas of strategy development and execution including project management, business development, consensus building, and problem-solving. You should also have strong technical experience and ability to pick up and dive into the technology and product. Enterprise software product, especially SaaS background, and experience collaborating with go-to-market (GTM) will be critical. In addition, the ability to thrive in an unstructured, collaborative culture with a strong level of comfort around sophisticated problems and ambiguous situations. An attitude of ownership with strong execution prowess in a B2B enterprise software context is critical to success. What you'll do:
Yeah, I want to and can do that. Work with customers to identify their struggles, Splunk use cases, and come up with creative solutions to address their needs. Develop strategic go-to-market plans working with cross-functional teams outlining business opportunity, rationale, and execution plans to achieve the vision for the opportunity across Product, Sales, Marketing, and/or Engineering teams Provide our sales functions with the tools and insights required for success Work with product, marketing, field teams in identifying and building product collaterals, demos, and other assets to drive product adoption Be a trusted advisor for large/ strategic customers; build and maintain strong customer relationships. Gather customer insights and feedback and infuse the learning back into the organization and product roadmap You will drive highly visible projects for Splunk; Work cross-functionally to structure problems, analyze opportunities, and develop solutions and implementable recommendations and drive results through a thorough, data-backed process You will provide insights to the business through analytics and market research as required (e.g. market, customer, competitive) Define and build out key metrics (e.g., product, customer usage, financial) to evaluate and assess business performance and deliver Splunk-wide metrics and scorecards in the form of W/M/QBR reports to drive key business decisions You will uncover areas within the business to drive performance improvements to unlock productivity and accelerate execution You will work with cross-functional team (product, development, marketing, sales, alliances, corp dev) to conduct build vs buy vs partner analyses to execute on growth opportunities Requirements:
I've already done that or have that! 7
years of total experience in product management, business planning, or management consulting at an enterprise software company or SaaS company (preferred) Experience operating in an ambitious environment and driving adoption of new and emerging products Consistent track record of working cross-functionally to deliver impact. Demonstrated customer obsession in deliverables. Demonstrated consistent ability to drive both strategy and results. Strong leadership and communication skills - written and verbal - to work with senior executives both internal and with customers. Comfortable in business and technical discussions. Strong people development and influencing skills; able to build and drive extended and virtual teams. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study; MBA a plus but not required. The position location is flexible and can work near any of Splunk's major office hubs, including the Bay Area, Seattle, Dallas or Austin.
Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification
Technical Product ManagementEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
