Position Overview:
The purpose of this role is to drive the strategy and growth of the white-labeled, back-office segment of Health Benefits. The Executive Director, National Partnerships, will be responsible for on identifying and delivering new business sales and retention nationally through aggressive prospecting, establishing strong, consultative partnerships with major brokers, consultants, and clients. This role is also responsible for developing and managing a national consultant and broker strategy including formulating national agreements. In addition, this role is responsible for seeking new strategic partnerships to help grow Health Benefits. The role also includes learning and staying informed on health care trends, market intelligence and product information for all product solutions within the Health Benefits portfolio. Establishing, updating and managing target opportunity lists, pipeline reports, leveraging marketing programs, educational seminars, managing both external and internal stakeholders throughout the sales process and contributing to sales planning and forecasting. Key Accountabilities:
Prospecting & Selling:
Work with consultants, brokers and other distribution partners to increase visibility of the Health Benefits capabilities in back-office business across multiple segments. Create awareness and opportunities to sell Health Benefits' products and services. Generate new business opportunities by leveraging existing relationships, cultivating new relationships, conducting market analysis and attending industry specific conferences. Achieve annual new business sales objectives by successfully leveraging existing relationships and developing new relationships with benefit consultants and insurance brokers. Develop strategies to acquire new business through defined distribution channels via regular communication, personal visits, newsletters, and updates on new products, industry news and other topics of importance. National Broker/Consultant Relationship:
Create and manage the overall approach and strategy to national broker and consulting houses with specifics regarding key relationships, focus of each consulting house, contracting etc. Act as the main point of contact with national brokers/consultants Oversee the responses to consulting house RFIs/RFPs non-client specific Develop national broker/consultant agreements such as preferred TPA status Manage the overall performance of national brokers and consultants Education & Experience Minimum of 10 - 15 years' experience leading sales, marketing and operational initiatives in self-funded/third party administration or group benefits market Bachelor's degree required. MBA preferred or equivalent experience in managing third party administration operations. Strong entrepreneurial drive, high energy, a self-starter attitude, the ability to set and meet aggressive goals and the drive to for results. Deep experience working with broker and consultant community Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to inspire, lead and coach leaders and employees Experienced in working across division/organization to build consensus and synergies that support attainment of company goals handle conflict, resolve complex issues, negotiate, achieve consensus and promote team spirit. Preferred Demonstrated success in managing and growing a business unit Thorough understanding of the health care system, particularly challenges, trends, solutions for self-funded employer groups Excellent financial acumen with self-funded market Demonstrated experience in leading, motivating highly successful sales teams Established presence and expertise in representing best interests of company in local markets
Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification
Business Development, HR Generalists & Business PartnersEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
