The role We are seeking a Pricing Analytics Lead to join the Pricing & Profitability team that is responsible for developing pricing strategies for SoFi's Lending Business with focus on driving profitable business growth, revenue and client acquisition. Pricing Analytics Lead will support Personal Loan business and will report to the Vice President/ Head of Pricing. This role will manage a team of data scientists with responsibility to develop, implement, and continuously improve the pricing strategies and improve the analytical frameworks used for decision making in Personal Loan business. Pricing Analytics Lead must be able to effectively transform data insights into tangible actionable proposals. The Pricing Analytics Lead will effectively communicate their point of view and proposals while being receptive to feedback from a broad and diverse audience with different perspectives. To maximize success, the role requires strong technical aptitude/ quantitative skills/ problem solving skills, excellent written and verbal communication and the ability to work collaboratively within cross-departmental teams as the Pricing function has impacts across many parts of the organization. Data and Analytical Insights into Actionable Recommendations Develop and test pricing strategies for personal loans that optimize profitability through the improvement of revenue, credit risk, and cost per customer acquisition; Analyze the existing portfolio and strategies to identify opportunities for growth Leverage pricing models to simulate profitability from pricing strategies and forecast changes to SoFi's customer credit portfolio; Lead and guide the development of analytics, reports and dashboards to monitor the performance of key pricing KPIs such as volume, conversion, average coupon and profitability. Build intuitive and analytical models and frameworks to help decision makers understand the price elasticity of customer segments; Collect, organize and analyze industry data and reports including marketing and competitive intelligence reports and historical performance data to find insights Continuously discover trends in customer behavior to inform decision making and recommend changes to strategies as needed; Direct and oversee pricing experiments to test hypotheses Communication and Consensus Building Present insights within the Pricing team as well as to other executive and senior manager level stakeholders within the Company to create a broad understanding of business performance and opportunity areas. Respond to and incorporate feedback where necessary. Present consensus recommendations to multi-disciplinary panels and pricing committees/ working groups. Project Planning & People Management Manage a team of data scientists responsible for pricing analytics and models Collaborate with different stakeholders across business unit, finance, capital markets, risk, marketing and other functional areas Lead the implementation of proposed changes Represent Pricing team with internal cross functional team on major technology and product initiatives What you'll need:
Minimum of 5 years of Business Strategy and analytics experience in the consumer Lending space; Overall 12-15 years of consumer lending and/or payment business experience M.B.A, B.S. or M.S. in Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or a related quantitative field is required for this position; Proven track record of end-to-end experience in building analytical frameworks to inform business strategy; Knowledge and understanding of statistical modeling methods used in price optimization. These methods include (but not limited to) regression analysis, forecasting, feature selection, and decision trees; Strong understanding of business drivers including revenue drivers, cost drivers and profitability metrics At least 3 years of people management experience and 12
years of industrial experience in consumer lending and/or payment business working in analytics and/or business strategy role Experience and knowledge of data processing softwares and languages - examples include Python, PySpark, R, SQL, SAS Knowledge of Tableau and other data visualization tools is preferred. Ability to work in a dynamic, cross-functional environment, with a strong attention to detail; Effective communication and presentation skills and ability to explain complex analyses in simple terms to business leaders; Strong relationship building and collaborative skills; Exceptional problem-solving skills; Prior experience in pricing analytics and modeling is preferred. Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification
