Sunrun is dedicated residential solar company in the country and has a mission to bring clean, solar power service to the masses. The Senior DevOps Engineer works out of Sunrun's San Francisco, CA office.
Responsibilities:
Work collaboratively with software engineering to design, develop, and deploy the micro services that compose the company's Brightpath and Lightmile Platform, an automated end-to-end software platform for the Solar industry. Develop large cloud infrastructure that can be spawned up in minutes and consumed on-demand in a cost-effective manner using various cloud computing technologies supporting a micro services-based systems architecture used in the company's large data processing systems. Support the company's infrastructure, and assist developers in building scalable consumer systems to stay ahead of growth rates. Assist in automating and streamlining the company's operations and processes. Build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring and operations, as well as troubleshoot and resolve issues in the development, test, and production environments.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related academic field
5 y. exp. as a Software Developer and/or Programmer/ Analyst including:
2 y. exp. with design and development of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) applications, web applications, mobile applications and web-based products using J2EE platform, cloud computing, web technologies, and Oracle DB technologies. 2 y. exp. with Windows, Unix, and Linux and using C, C++, Java, J2EE, Oracle, HTML, XML, Jenkins, Perl, Python, Ruby Scripting and Middleware Administration, and Infrastructure Automation tools. 2 y. exp. with build and administration of VMs and containers using Docker, Vagrant, and VMWare. Any and all experience may be gained concurrently. Alternatively, will accept a Master's degree or equivalent in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or a related academic field and 3 years of experience as a Software Developer and/or Programmer/ Analyst including:
