Job Description Summary BancWest Investment Services is looking for a professional, eloquent individual who has proven success building and maintaining business relationships. The Retirement Plan Specialist is responsible for assisting business owners with their 401k plan needs. In this position, you will work closely with our business banking partners who serve small and medium sized enterprises. Essential Job Functions Serves as a retirement plan sales representative and subject matter expert, providing in-depth knowledge of the group retirement plan market Drives retirement plan sales and supports the development of new business opportunities through proactively cultivating strong partnerships with SME relationship managers, including joint sales strategy planning and execution sessions and presenting at various sales meeting Able to grow and maintain assets under management in retirement plans. Additionally supports the sales efforts of the business through the introduction and expansion of wealth management services to the client. Responsibilities generally include connecting SME clients with a competitive plan provider solution for employers, illustrating a way to reduce administrative duties for employer at competitive cost, offering embedded product services and employee education through product services that can help increase plan participation, introducing professional investment management services that provide investment guidance and education for employees and conducting periodic plan reviews if requested by employer Service models vary by platform offering and may also include working closely with clients on:
plan design, investments, vendor management, participant education, and legislative and regulatory updates, among other things. Works closely with vendor wholesalers to assist clients in completing new plan paperwork and supports the client onboarding process Other Job Duties Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Required Experience Requires a deep knowledge of retirement plan sales typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. Requires 5 years minimum prior relevant experience. Education Bachelor's Degree Business, Finance or Economics Licenses & Certifications FINRA Series 7, 63, and 65 (or 66) Skills Demonstrated ability to lead consultative sales utilizing virtual, telephonic and in-person channels. Expert level user of CRM tools. Effective time management, prioritization and organizational skills. Strong business acumen with proficiency using related software applications. Ability to synthesize and present complex information in a way that facilitates understanding. Strong knowledge of and adherence to applicable regulatory rules. Ability to take initiative and solve problems/resolve conflicts with limited support or resources. Maintain high standards for work accuracy and quality. Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
