ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY - Vice President, Operations The Vice President, Operations is a key leader who inspires, leads and develops our Operations organization and establishes the vision and mission of the team and function.
In this role, you will lead all aspects of our Operations - Warehouse Operations, Outbound Transportation, Inbound Shipping, Operations Process Improvement, Network Strategy, and Warehouse Support (Liquidation, Vendor Compliance, Packaging and Quality).
These functions together are responsible for all the physical operations of the company and help bring the Stitch Fix experience to life for our clients.
The core of the operation is the development, expansion and transformation of our 5 warehouses (5 in the US, 1 in the UK) and our 3000 warehouse team members.
The Vice President, Operations will partner extensively cross-functionally to accelerate operational innovation to drive and support the Stitch Fix strategic plan.
This includes leading and implementing new business and inventory models, enabling new client experiences beyond the core fix offering, evaluating our warehouse operations/processes/systems for efficiency improvements (while still maintaining operational flexibility), and leveraging data science and organization structure - all while establishing our operational and technical foundation as an organization.
Key metrics and goals will include operational efficiency, P&L performance, client experience and employee engagement.
In accomplishing all these goals, the Vice President, of Operations will build a mission-driven culture that leads the industry, especially in our warehouses.
' You're excited about this opportunity because you will Position Operations to lead the company in the transformation of its business model and achievement of the long-range plan Understand the business/inventory models and client experiences that Stitch Fix will create with a focus on achieving the long-range plan through programs such as direct buy and consignment and drop-ship inventory models Establish an Operations vision that supports and drives the company mission and direction Anticipate and determine the operations needs to support and drive this plan and partner/lead cross-functionally to secure the required resources Implement and drive automated systems for efficiencies Focus on the required client experience and make this a differentiated competitive advantage for Stitch Fix Balance this client focus with the required P&L obligations and efficiency goals to realize ongoing year-over-year leverage, allowing reinvestment into demand-generated functions Build a labor strategy that increases efficiency in people operations -onboarding, developing, and retaining talent - such that a labor LRP exists that will drive the company LRP Most importantly, partner cross-functionally to make the whole greater than the sum of the parts; key partners are Merchandising, Technology, and the People & Culture teams Build the warehouse and the warehouse network of the future Assess the strengths and weaknesses of the current warehouse operations and determine a prioritized holistic plan for continuous improvement Accelerate our Operations Process Improvement strategy and initiatives; balance automation with maintaining flexibility Focus on high-density solutions (mezzanines, flat-pack transition), co-bots, and receiving/inbound improvements Phase in and implement this design into the warehouses in a sequence that does not disrupt the business significantly Design and augment the warehouse network to facilitate affordable 1- and 2-day shipping for fixes and direct orders Manage 5 warehouses and 2800 team members Manage the operations of the existing 5 warehouses with metrics and goal orientation and drive them to achieve budget and aggressive year-over-year leverage Ensure strong integration across the warehouses and HQ; sequence field implementations with the right timing, high execution quality and proper support and follow-through Determine which functions should be centralized for warehouse support; continue to build the quality, vendor compliance and liquidation programs Build career paths for all warehouse employees with the goal of maximizing promotions from within and developing clear succession planning Build a safe and healthy warehouse working environment with focus on individual and collective employee safety first, especially related to COVID-19 Drive the client experience through quality and shipping Implement processes with checks and balances to ensure a consistently delightful client experience Develop systems that provide flexibility to deliver targeted experiences to different client segments, in support of new initiatives such as a new loyalty program Build a packaging strategy that balances client experience, business strategy and expense management Partner with transportation providers to increase shipping speed at an affordable cost with full transparency and trackability for clients; build a broader relationship with shipping carriers that gives clients a breakthrough, unique experience Develop leaders at all levels and build a strong, healthy, progressive culture Manage a high-potential HQ team, ensuring the right combination of brightness, innovative thinking and industry experience; foster development of the team such that they are strong cross-functional partners and lead cross-functional initiatives Be aggressive with developing the right warehouse culture that retains top talent, partnering closely with P&C Develop career paths for all job families and positions - both in the warehouses and at HQ; create transparency of this process to team members so they can drive their own careers Build the right constructs (i.

, competencies) to provide structure and logic to organization structure development Partner with the People & Culture team to consider more performance management strategies and more relevant methods to build an operations culture Cultivate strong, collaborative partnerships with key functions (Algorithms, Engineering and P&C), helping the company achieve our collective goals Provide inspiring, educating, motivating leadership to the entire Operations team Lead in a way that always connects the team to the larger Stitch Fix mission and values Translate broader company goals into clear and understandable objectives for the team Drive new and innovative ways to keep team members engaged and inspired Remove roadblocks the team is facing through partnership across the organization Represent, analyze and advocate for the needs of the Operations team We are excited about you because you Have a Bachelor's degree and at least 15

Location - Remote USA Our anticipated compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets, and the range below indicates the low end of the lowest-compensated market to the high end of the highest-compensated market.
This position is eligible for an annual bonus, and new hire and ongoing grants of restricted stock units, depending on employee and company performance.
In addition, the position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and other benefits.
