About the opportunity Ontra is seeking a Security Operations Associate to join our growing Security Operations team.
This person will be responsible for performing daily security tasks, ensuring company-wide adherence to security policies, resolving security issues, and leading security-related initiatives with other business functions.

Perform security risk assessments, document security procedures, respond to security incidents and perform access and compliance reviews to ensure applications are operating in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Perform ongoing security assessments of Ontra's vendors.
Security Compliance and Reporting:
Respond to security due diligence requests from Ontra's prospective and current customers.
Support completion of SOC 2 audits and other compliance reviews and certifications.
Research and recommend new security solutions and processes.
Cross Functional Teamwork:
Work with Product Security, DevOps and Engineering to prevent and resolve security vulnerabilities within our infrastructure and products.
Drive Secure Processes:
Drive security improvements to our infrastructure, products, and employee training to ensure that security is considered at every stage using ITIL practices, ex:
mitigating vulnerabilities, coordinating security awareness trainings, executing phishing campaigns with KnowBe4, CIS Benchmarks, etc.
What you'll bring
Experience:
Bachelor's degree and 1
years of general cybersecurity or IT experience Organization & prioritization:
You excel at organization and systems, and pride yourself on your ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects simultaneously Strong written & verbal communication:
You are comfortable communicating with people in all departments and at all levels of the organization IT Exposure:
Experience with basic system management (i.
