Behavioral CoreDescription:
The Gladstone Behavioral Core is seeking a candidate with expertise in rodent behavioral testing to characterize mouse models of neurological and neuropsychiatric disorders.
This translational research could offer opportunities to improve the lives of people around the world.
Responsibilities include experiment planning and design, behavioral testing, and data analysis and interpretation.
The successful candidate will join a highly collaborative team of scientists and technologists, participate in a broad range of neuroscientific and brain disorder studies, and contribute to our fight against devastating diseases of the nervous system.
This position also offers the opportunity to implement machine learning approaches for behavioral phenotyping.
Qualifications:
BS/BA in Neuroscience, Biology, or Psychology Experience with rodent behavioral testing, particularly learning and memory paradigms Experience with data analysis and basic statistics Experience with video analysis software including Noldus Ethovision and CleverSys TopScan Experience with statistical software including Excel and GraphPad Prism Able to contribute to multiple projects independently or under supervision Goal orientated team player, self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented Passionate about behavioral neuroscience, strong work ethic and eager to learn Other Applicable
Experience:
Experience with advanced analytical and computational approaches, including MATLAB, Python, DeepLabCut Experience writing scripts for data analysis and visualization Gladstone is committed to Equal Opportunity and Diversity.
