As mental health consumers, we center the lived expertise of people with mental health challenges in our advocacy, education, and support programs, and we believe that dignity and recovery in mental health are something everyone can experience.
Our staff is dedicated to creating spaces for learning and healing around stigmatized and under-resourced areas in mental health-hoarding and cluttering behavior; post-hospitalization peer support; mental health and nutrition; peer mental health workforce development; and much more.
OVERVIEW OF POSITIONTraining Coordinators will work across the Department of Education and Innovation and Warm Line Department.
Under the supervision of the Warm Line People Manager and Senior Training Manager, the Warm Line Training Coordinator is responsible for designing, developing, coordinating, conducting, and managing training programs for and on behalf of MHASF.
In collaboration with MHASF leadership and consultants, they will lead staff and community development initiatives through educational and creative training opportunities, conduct regular maintenance to ensure that curriculum content and accessibility are current and reputable, and manage outcome data for evaluation and quality assurance of said curriculums.
TOP 3 RESPONSIBILITIES Facilitate and manage monthly 40-hour Warm Line Classroom training, monthly Warm Line continued education training, and refresher training for Warm Line staff as needed Design and facilitate Warm Line best practices training for partners and stakeholders Facilitate Training Institute training related to mental health education, crisis intervention, peer support and recovery, stigma reduction, and other trainings offered by MHASF GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES Identify training needs and map out development plans for teams and individuals Conduct regular maintenance of training materials, including research and curriculum development, and review presentation design (internal and out-sourced) Create appropriate training methods (virtual, modules, etc.
) for optimal learning and accessibility Organize, conduct, and support monthly, quarterly, and annual training plans Announce training opportunities to staff and provide session information Identify current curriculum strengths and areas for growth Use education principles and training methods to ensure staff skills and values stay up-to-date Coordinate with the Outreach Team to establish and maintain community partners and stakeholder relationships to increase training opportunities Assess training effectiveness via employee skills and program/department OKRs Maintain updated training and curriculum records or databases Manage internal training modalities and equipment Attend seminars or events to learn new training methods and opportunities Research and incorporate new training methods or opportunities Market agency and community training opportunities in an engaging way to encourage participation Maintain relationships with community stakeholders, providers, and previous and current Peer Educators Foster new community partnerships that expand the programs cultural and linguistic thresholds Schedule and facilitate community presentations, participate in tabling events (in-person and virtual), and perform other outreach activities across a variety of platforms based on needs Other duties as assigned As job descriptions cannot be exhaustive, the above list of responsibilities is intended to provide a general overview of duties to be assigned and in no way is a comprehensive list of position duties and responsibilities.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS Proven work experience as a training coordinator or similar role Adequate knowledge of learning management systems and web delivery tools such as e-learning platforms Proven ability to complete a full training cycle (develop, conduct, monitor, evaluate) Advanced organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments Proficiency in public speaking and facilitating presentations Ability to operate media equipment such as personal computers Ability to work in partnership with MHASF leadership to meet program goals Commitment to consumer empowerment, culturally responsive education, and a nonjudgmental approach Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Formstack, Excel, Slack, and PowerPoint Ability to organize and present complex information in a clear, accurate, and concise manner Collaborative team working style with an ability to relate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds Commitment to the mission, vision, and values of MHASF Undergraduate degree, Graduate degree preferred, or equivalent work experience and demonstrated competency as would be gained through degree completion The lived experience of mental health challenges/psychiatric disabilities required DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONSBilingual in Spanish, Cantonese, Mandarin, Vietnamese, or TagalogBilingual/Bi-cultural individuals are strongly encouraged to apply.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
