Health Insurance, PTO, Paid Holidays, 401K The RAMS Adult/Older Adult Outpatient Services Clinic is located in the Outer Richmond District of San Francisco, providing quality, culturally competent/sensitive, consumer-centered assessment, counseling & psychotherapy, case management, psychiatric evaluation, and medication management services to adults and older adults.
Practice at the clinic reflects and supports the diverse cultures, languages and ethnicities of its clients, including immigrant and refugee families who are monolingual in an Asian & Pacific Islander or Russian language, or have limited English-speaking ability.
Essential Job Duties include, but are not limited to:
Provide clinically & culturally competent outpatient mental health services to Cambodian adult clients in the forms of case management, individual, group, and/or family counseling &/or psychotherapy, clinical evaluation, and collateral therapy services.
Conduct intakes & initial screening assessments of clients.
Serve as liaison to community treatment providers to coordinate client care.
Coordinate with client and attending physician regarding treatment planning (including developing and implementing treatment plans and goals), assessing progress, and disposition.
Develop and maintain administrative and treatment records related to client care, in accordance to standards specified by agency's policies, clinical standards, and funding source (SF City & County, Medi-Cal, Medicare).
Provide outreach & education on mental health services and issues to clients, families of consumers, community members, other professionals, schools, and community settings as deemed necessary.
Participate in case conferences, staff meetings, in-service training and other staff development activities.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Educational level or Equivalent
Experience:
At least a Bachelor's degree with 6 or more years of experience working in the mental health field.
Master's degree (or equivalent) in Psychology or Counseling from an accredited university is preferable.
Valid BBS LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC licensure or registration is preferable.
Demonstrated knowledge and work experience in providing outpatient mental health services to severely mentally ill adults, older adults, the indigent and underserved populations (including those with co-occurring disorders), required.
Experience in the mental health field working in a community mental health setting, required.
Familiarity with various treatment modalities, strategies, and approaches to recovery in working with dually diagnosed clients (i.
e.
, mental health and substance abuse/dependence).
Combination of education and clinical experience related to substance abuse/dependency treatment issues and working knowledge of mental health and substance abuse counseling, assessment and crisis intervention skills.
Other Requirements:
Strong commitment to the philosophy, goals, & mission of RAMS, including providing clinically culturally competent mental health services in a community setting.
A commitment to engage in professional development through attending trainings, continuing education seminars, case conferences, and reading new material, etc.

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively, function independently, and interact professionally with a diverse, multi-cultural, and interdisciplinary staff of all levels.
Ability to provide bilingual & culturally competent therapeutic services in a threshold language is strongly preferable, due to the needs of the client population served at the Outpatient Clinic Job Type:
