Through their proprietary issued patent, this organization is striving to expand the field of spinal robotics offering precision pedicle screws trajectory, decompression and endplate preparation, and interbody cage trajectory, with other future features to add to the family of end-effectors.
This organization is very well financed and well organized poised to highly disrupt the global spine market with 1st of its kind robotic-assisted spinal fusion technology.
Primary focus for this organization is a new (US/Canada Remote) based senior software engineer to lead upcoming 2D/3D image registration and segmentation as well as surgical planning, interbody trajectory, robotic control algorithm implementation, and overall systems integration.
Qualifications Minimum MS (preferred) in robotics-related field, or BS with robotic system experience.
Minimum 4 years of experience in a medical device preferred.
Demonstrate intuitive understanding of mechanical phenomena with the ability to do rigorous analysis.
Knowledge of C#,.
NET, and socket programming; experience in Java and robotic programming in Windows.
Prior experience with KUKA LBR Med robotic arm (or alternative Cobot Arm) is a plus.
Knowledge of modern mechatronic control systems.
Knowledge of analyzing medical imaging.
Knowledge of serial-arm robot kinematics.
