JOB DETAILSThe University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), Department of Anesthesia and Perioperative Care is seeking pediatric anesthesiology faculty to work at Benioff Children s Hospital Oakland (BCH Oakland) as a part of a team emphasizing high quality, patient-centered perioperative care with a focus on evidence-based medicine.

Anesthesia faculty are part of a team of approximately 20 faculty members working at BCH Oakland.
In addition to pediatric operating room care, the pediatric division in Oakland has essential roles in patient care outside of the operating rooms, with active participation in Ambulatory Care, Acute and Chronic Pain, the Preoperative Clinic, and the BCH Oakland Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center.
UCSF Health encompasses five main campuses -- the UCSF Helen Diller Medical Center at Parnassus Heights, the Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital (a Level 1 Trauma Center), Mount Zion Medical Center, Benioff Children s in Oakland, and Benioff Children's, Betty Irene Moore Women's and Bakar Cancer Hospitals at Mission Bay, as well as a pediatric ambulatory surgery center in Walnut Creek.
BCH Oakland Anesthesia faculty may have the opportunity to work at any of these additional medical centers, if desired.
Successful applicants are board certified/board eligible in pediatric anesthesiology and demonstrate an aptitude for and dedication to medical education and providing evidence based, high quality care in clinical teams that enhance the patient experience with a commitment to patient safety and satisfaction.
Applicants are expected to teach residents and medical students; participate in University service, faculty meetings, monthly Grand Rounds and M&M conferences; contribute to quality assurance programs and continuing education; and advance the mission of the department.
The successful candidate must meet all the following qualifications by time of hire:
Must possess a valid California Medical License.
Must hold an MD, DO, or equivalent degree.
Must be Pediatric Anesthesia Fellowship trained or have equivalent advanced training and/or experience beyond that of anesthesia residency training.
Must be board certified/board eligible in pediatric anesthesiology.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
