seeks Manager Software Engineering in San Francisco, CA:
Job Duties:
Manage and develop a team of talented engineers.
Recruit, nurture and retain best-in-class talent.
Provide technical guidance, career development and mentoring to team members.
Participate in cross-functional coordination, planning, and reviews with leads from other engineering teams.
Influence and compellingly communicate the vision to a wide variety of key stakeholders.
Build strong partnerships across disciplines, such as Design, Product, and Marketing.
Drive the execution and delivery of features by collaborating with many cross functional teams, architects, product owners and engineers.
Proactive in foreseeing issues and resolve it before it happens.
Daily management of standups as the ScrumMaster for engineering teams.
Ensure teams have clear priorities and adequate resources.
Work effectively as part of a geographically distributed team.
Occasionally contributing to development tasks such as coding and feature verifications to assist teams with release commitments, to gain an understanding of the deeply technical product as well as to keep your technical acumen sharp.
HQ address additionally encompasses the following Salesforce locations in San Francisco:
350 Mission Street, 415 Mission Street, 50 Fremont Street.
The permanent position may be offered at any of these locations in San Francisco.
Telecommuting is an option.
Some travel to Salesforce offices may be required.
Minimum Requirements:
Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering (any field), or closely related quantitative discipline, and two (2) years of experience in job offered or in any occupation in a related field.
A related technical degree required (Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering (any field)).
Special Skill Requirements:
(1) Saas; (2) Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC); (3) Agile methodologies ; (4) Data Structures and Algorithms; (5) Unit Testing and Integration; (6) Bulk APIs to integrate Salesforce; (7) Utilize knowledge of source controls such as GitHub to track changes and ensure continuous delivery of Salesforce code and components; (8) RESTful services like Ruby on Rails for integrations; (9) Force.
com, Apex, Visualforce; and (10) Relational Databases.
Any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience is acceptable.
