The Wells Fargo Virtual Channels Fraud (VCF) team has an opportunity for a key member of the team focused on External Threat Management (ETM).
The scope is customer-facing External Threat mitigation spanning mobile and online channels (direct coverage for Community Banking consumer/small business customers; partnership with Wholesale).
Team responsibilities include threat surface mapping, environment analysis, vendor assessments, operational tactics, strategy development and implementation.
This position provides strategic direction, reporting and coordination for External Threat solutions.
The position brings together a cross enterprise team to define gaps, opportunities and strategic direction for identified external threat solutions.
Assist the program manager with developing and implementing the 3 year strategy and overall program management structure in a rapidly changing environment.
Provide strategic consulting services to senior leaders on key program initiatives to include the Automated Validator porgram.
Communicate effectively across all levels of the enterprise to drive and aid in decision making for Wells Fargo's Executive Team and Board of Directors.
Track results of mitigation programs, identifying gaps and opportunities for improvement as well as successes.
Analyze impact of new tools and techniques on mitigation activity.
The candidate must work well with ambiguity in a rapid-paced environment.
They need to research, identify, recommend and influence/drive change.
Superior relationship building skills and the ability to communicate effectively to all levels is required.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
