Principal Product Manager-Technical

The Special Projects team is looking for a Principal Technical Product Manager to help build and scale out a new product from the ground up. We are looking for a candidate with broad experience across a number of different tools, languages, and frameworks used by developers to work on cloud technologies (Javascript/Node, Java, Python, Go, etc). Strong judgment and communication skills, long term technical vision, and continuous focus on product, engineering and operational excellence are essential for the success in this role. You will have significant ownership over an area of the product that will closely engage with open source and other developer communities.As an early team member, you will also have responsibility for product definition, problem solving, creatively meeting product objectives, participate in building a team, and developing best practices. You pursue cross-functional collaborations with other AWS services and organizations to accomplish your goals. You will identify and initiate investigations of relevant technologies, identify potential partnerships, and respond to ongoing learning by the engineering organization.nBasic Qualificationsn

Bacheloru2019s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical disciplinen
7
years of relevant software product or product management experiencen
Exposure to a wide variety of languages, frameworks, toolchainsn
Experience on projects that require Javascript on the server or the clientn
Enjoy thinking about and working with tools that improve the lives of our developer customersnnPreferred Qualificationsn

Strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent technical communication with peers and non-technical cohortsn
Experience taking projects from scoping requirements through launch of the project.n
Desire to work in a highly-collaborative environment focused on developer experience and developer delightn
Experience with professional software engineering practices and best practices for the full software development life cycle.n
Experience with open-source technologies.n
Experience with agile software development methodologies like scrum.n
Experience with rapid prototyping and evaluation of customer applications.n
A track record of project delivery for large, cross-functional, projectsn
