Administrative Officer

Duties include, but are not limited to:
drafting correspondence, recommendations, reports, and memoranda related to management and administrative programs and issues; providing advice and guidance to managers and employees on questions and situations related to the administrative services provided; determining pertinent issues and collecting relevant information from a variety of sources; reviewing information and applying standard analytical techniques; coordinates the administrative aspects of office moves; performs property management tasks; sets up and maintains systems to control purchasing and the use of supplies; identifies and performs routine liaison tasks to support the organizational planning process; assists in analyzing program, budgetary, and fiscal data; reviews work completion reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with organizational standards; prepares and assembles charts, data, reports, and narrative and statistical materials provided for on-going organizational planning; assists in providing guidance on routine aspects of tasks to support the administration of established quality and productivity programs for the organization; participates in developing short and long-range goals; generates required reports for key managers and organizations. Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-09 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-07. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. Note:

Specialized
Experience:
You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-07 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to:
skill in the preparation and presentation of reports, proposals, charts and graphs, etc.; ability to collect, compile, research and/or track data and program information; ability to prepare complex weekly and monthly reports, noting the status of all incomplete/delinquent records and compliance reports; ability to submit weekly and monthly reports to the appropriate administrative clinical staff using a variety of communication tools( e.g., e-mail, inter-office mail, or hand carry); ability to research and make logical and supported recommendations to supervisors and staff, etc. OR, Education:
Applicants may substitute education for the required experience. To qualify based on education for this grade level you must have a master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or a LL. B or J.D. OR, Combination:
Applicants may also combine education and experience to qualify at this level. Only graduate education and specialized experience in excess of the amount required for the next lower grade level may be used to qualify applicants for positions at grades GS-09 and GS-11. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
