Underwriting Account Associate I at Zurich San Francisco, CA

Zurich is currently hiring an Underwriting Account Associate to join the Underwriting team! As an Underwriting Account Associate you will support the Middle Markets Commercial team.
Exceptional organizational and multi-tasking abilities are required in this position.
The ideal candidate for this role will report to the San Francisco, CA Zurich office.
Underwriting Associates are charged with a variety of tasks including:
Working collaboratively with assigned underwriters.
Communicating directly with both internal and external customers via phone and email.
Issuing new policies, renewals, endorsements and handling billing and other service type issues.
Basic
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree and No prior experience required in the Administrative or Customer Service or Data Entry or Financial Services or Risk Management area ORHigh School Diploma or Equivalent and 2 or more years of experience in the Administrative or Customer Service or Data Entry or Financial Services or Risk Management area ANDSome travel may be required Preferred
Qualifications:
Underwriting/underwriting operations, claims, risk management or premium audit experienceExperience with data collection and analysisExcellent customer service orientation and communication skillsIn-depth knowledge of processing, rating and policy issuance systemsDetail orientedOrganizational, prioritization, and multi-tasking skillsMastery of processing, rating and policy issuance systemsMicrosoft Excel - intermediate.
Pivot tables, spreadsheets, Macros Business Accountabilities:
Respond to inquiries quickly and completely, provide status updates.
Recognize and respond to or refer opportunities.
Identify and resolve problems by referring to policies, procedures, standards.
Continually improve unit performance by analyzing and recommending enhancements to technical procedures.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
